OANA was founded to improve the quality of life for all Obudu families in North America and to identify resources that will help meet the needs of our families around the world. We are sons, daughters, and families who are indigenes of Obudu, Nigeria, and reside in North America and within Nigeria.
We believe that people with informed and liberated minds have unlimited potential to be the best in their communities. We believe that a cohesive, good community is a building block for a sound, healthy, strong, and productive society.
The members of the association aspire to work in collaboration with one another in some specific areas, such as peer networking, project identification and execution, and mentoring as needed to alleviate obvious obstacles that hinder some of our community members from excelling on their own in this challenging world.
Our mission is to identify the applicable tools, plans, and tactics needed to start producing progressive results in an acceptable time frame to maintain or achieve the desirable goals set forth by the association. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our members and families in North America and Nigeria by promoting self-sufficiency and the preservation of our cultural heritage.
Our vision is to work cohesively as members and collaborate with other organizations within North America and Nigeria to foster progress in areas of development, education, and training. We will also help create a conductive business environment that will help foster the growth of business and entrepreneurship. We will help to establish programs and services that will empower the families of Obudu and across the world.
The members of OANA executive committee are elected by the members to serve for a period of time according to the association bylaws. Each executive are thought leaders who have made a significant contribution to the society. Each and every one of them brings a unique set of skills and expertise to our organization.
Apart from the Executive leadership, OANA is also governed by the Board of Trustees (BOT).
